Join the Kona Soil and Water Conservation District for a tour of Kealakekua Heritage Ranch. We begin at Konawaena High School at 7 am to see this amazing ranch that is over 11,500 acres in size of which 9,500 acres have entered the Hawai'i Forest Stewardship Management Plan and reaches up over 6,000 feet in elevation. Stops with guest speakers are planned at various locations throughout the ranch so that we can learn more about the ranch's diversity, history and future.
The owner of the ranch, Tom Pace, and Chief Operating Officer, Gregory Hendrickson, are invested in providing opportunities for Kealakekua and nearby communities to develop these assets through conservation principles.
If you have a four wheel drive vehicle
and can carry 4 – 6
passengers, the Kona Soil and Water Conservation District
is looking for additional drivers. It is not necessary to
have your own four wheel drive vehicle in order to attend.
Space is limited and reservations are required!
