Hualalai Academy welcomes all families or individuals in West Hawaii to come and join in the fun of working together in the outdoors as the ‘ohana cleans, clears and prepares the school garden area to further develop our children’s love of the land and nature. A school garden can become an integral part of the classroom, your home and community. Research shows that ultimately gardening can even improve student learning. Teachers and parents throughout the country and here on the Big Island are finding that learning through gardening is enjoyable to students, parents and teachers.
